"In the short film 'Schachmatt', I was responsible for the visual storytelling. This project was a particular challenge, as it required a delicate balance between sound and image to capture the intense, raw emotions of the characters. I focused on a moody, cinematic lighting setup to emphasize the feeling of being trapped—both literally and metaphorically. Especially in the high-stakes scenes, my goal was to use the camera not just as an observer, but as a tool to make the audience feel the mounting tension and psychological depth of the story."
